About Me
It all started in a small town in New Jersey...
Saying, "Oh I'm from New Jersey" does not exactly scream the poultry industry or livestock for that matter. I come from a family that only has a background in showing dogs and raising the occasional goat.
Fast forward to 2008, my dad started to help out an elderly farmer who lived alone and raised Hereford cattle. I went to help clean his barn one day, and "Farmer John" and I became steadfast friends. He could see my hard work and dedication, and gifted me one of his cows!
8 years later, I owned 15 Herefords and was showing every summer. I entered college with a strong background in beef cattle, but knew I wanted to challenge myself with something else. One volunteer opportunity and 5 semesters later, I found myself working with broilers in an animal welfare lab.
